- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went to the ER at Mease Dunedin because I had a bad stomach pain and my boss wanted me to go as he thought I had a burst appendix. I arrived at 4pm on a Friday and told them what it was that was going on and long story short I said I did not have insurance (I do pay the minimum for the affordable Health care Act every month - it just does not cover ER at all). Long story short I was in the ER for 2 hours and sent home as they could not find anything wrong. A few weeks later I received a bill for $12,000, I immediately called to see what I could do to get it down and was met with NO HELP, they did not care! I was in the Hospital for 2 hours and was not told ANYTHING of what I could do other than "we don't know" and now I owe them the same amount as a new car!! This is sick. Because I am on the cusp financially I cannot get any assistance and will be paying over $300 a month for the NEXT 4 YEARS, not to mention INTEREST as well. And this is one of the 4 bills that I have received for my 2 hour visit. If you want to be taken advantage of and then call a number to speak to someone that literally does not care about you then this is your place. Sad but true.November 17, 2017by montana spencer
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went in on a Sunday for emergency surgery and ended up staying 5 days. I have never met a more caring and dedicated nursing staff like those at this Hospital. They genuinely care about your well-being and are always ready to answer any question you might have. Dr Allada and Sebastian Tas to took the time to show me my cat scans and my x-rays and explained exactly what was wrong with me. The C.C.U. staff is spot on! Thank youOctober 07, 2017by Martin B
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My grandma has been here for almost 2 weeks. The nurses are great. The accommodations are top notch. The cafeteria has very good food for while I have been visiting.
